Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Inno Tire Hold HD bike carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. So the Tire Hold is like the name implies a wheel mounted bike carrier that holds your bike by the tires. If you have a specialty bike, a bike with a carbon fiber frame or something you just didn't want any contact to your top tube, this is gonna be a great way to secure your bike to the back of your Equinox. One of the things that I think that is kind of limiting on this one is the tilt that it has or lack thereof. You're just gonna pull your latch and this is how much tilt you have. So you won't have enough space to actually open the hatch and get to your cargo area, but you definitely make contact to with your handlebars to the back of your, you know, your back door here. more

Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima StageTwo Bike Carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. So as you can see, the StageTwo is a wheel-mounted bike carrier, meaning that it's gonna secure your bike using a front hook and a rear strap cradle. This is gonna work for those bikes that have carbon fiber frames, step-through bikes, or if you just have a bike where you don't want any contact to the paint on the top tube. This is gonna work really well for that, 'cause it's gonna give you that extra adjustability to use just about any style bike. As far as on the back of the Equinox, you do have a tilt feature that's gonna allow you to access your cargo area. When you're tilting over, you wanna be cautious if you're maxing out on the capacity, 'cause you're right at 70 pounds per bike on the back of the Equinox. more

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. The NV 2.0 is a wheel mounted bike carrier, meaning that it has a hook that secures your bike on the front and a strap that secures your rear tire so you don't have any contact on the frame of your bike. A lot of frame mounted carriers are gonna have a hook that goes down on your top tube, and this is gonna prevent that contact if you have a carbon fiber bike or an unconventional bike, like a step through bike. On the back of the Equinox, you can see that it comes in handy to have that tilt feature. If you need to actually get to your cargo area, you just press down the lever and you can open the back quite easily with the mountain bike that I have loaded here. If you have wider handle bars, it may be a concern, but you know, overall I think you have a pretty good amount of space to get to your cargo area. more

The e-bike carrier here, the Destination E is actually a frame-mounted bike carrier. So that's gonna make its contact points right here on your top tube and your front and rear wheel using the cradle system. The thing that's special about the Destination E is the way that the mast is shaped. So it's gonna accommodate a wide variety of different bike styles. So if you have a step through bike or a e-bike that has a different angle to cross tube or even a woman's bike, you'd be able to actually make that contact by sliding the clamp over on the frame where you can. more

That's gonna allow you to get your bikes on the road with you. However, if you have a carbon fiber frame bike or a bike that has a nice paint job or even a unconventional bike with, you know, a step through frame, this may not be the best option. So the Swagman Dispatch is a nice bike carrier if you're not overly concerned with a frame mounted bike carrier style, that's going to actually come into contact with your top tube. So if you have a carbon fiber bike or a bike with a nice paint job or even a unconventional frame style, like a step through, it may not be the best option. If that's not a concern for you, it'll work pretty well on the back of your vehicle. On the rear of the Equinox, once you have your bikes loaded up, you will not be able to tilt this carrier. So that is something that's kind of a shortcoming of the dispatch. more

The way that it affects the back of your vehicle is kind of handy 'cause it allows you to still access your cargo area. Only thing that I have encountered, sometimes if you have fenders that stick out a bit, this isn't necessarily gonna be the best option for you. But on the case of this mountain bike right here, you can see that it works well. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Thule Epos Bike Carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. So our bike carrier here is actually kind of unique versus a lot of other types, whereas it is a frame mount and it can also be a wheel-mounted carrier, so that's gonna allow you to get two different types of bikes out on the road. So if you have a carbon fiber bike, a step-through bike, something like that, you can actually adjust your arm to attach to your rear wheel, or if you have a bike where you don't mind that contact on the top tube, then it works out fine, kinda like our e-bike here. Our capacity is sitting here right at 75 pounds for a single bike or 70 pounds for two bikes. So that gives you a lot of flexibility as far as how much you can carry along with you, and let's take a look at how it works with the Equinox. We're gonna push down on our pedal here and activate our tilt feature. more

This is gonna be an open-design platform rack that we will take a look at here on our 2023 Chevrolet Equinox. The Kuat Transfer is gonna be the entry-level rack in the Kuat line where you don't pay as much as you would for a Sherpa or an NV, but you still get these solid Kuat features. One of those features is tilting away. So if you want something that makes it slightly a bit easier to tilt away, then if you have just one bike loaded, like what we have here, you can actually step into the rack, step on this lever, and then drop your bike rack down to a tilt. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today, we have the Saris SuperClamp EX 2 bike platform rack. We're taking a look at how it fits on the 2020 Chevrolet Spark. So for the Spark, you do have limited options for bike racks because of your inch and a quarter hitch receiver, but that's okay because the SuperClamp EX still has that 60 pound per bike weight capacity, plus a lot of versatility for bikes of different shapes and sizes because of the dual wheel mount clamps. The downside to this bike rack is it is gonna be a bit wobbly. Adding that to your inch and a quarter hitch receiver, you will experience a lot of movement on the road. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman XC2 two bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of this 2021 Chevrolet Equinox. Now the XC2 is gonna be a platform style bike rack holding the bike in these wheel hoops at the bottom and primarily keeping it still with our frame hook up top. That's going to press the bike down into those wheel hoops and keep it secure. Now this is going to be able to handle 35 pounds per bike and because it makes the contact of the frame it isn't the best fit for carbon frame bikes and for alternative frame bikes you're gonna need a bike adapter bar because this hook needs somewhere relatively flat to grab onto to get a good hold on the bike. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Skaha Plus Bike Rack for four bikes and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. So this is the Skaha 2 Plus with the two bike add on and this allows you to carry up to four bikes with a weight capacity of 180 pounds total for all four bikes. So with that in mind, yes, it creates a nice solid platform for multiple bikes, but it also adds a lot of space. It does require a little bit of work to put those bikes on and off as well as the bike rack. So we are gonna talk about that focusing on our trailblazer here. Now the first thing to think about is gonna be your clearance because the recommended ground clearance for this bike rack is at least 14 inches. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer S64678- Video
Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Swagman Current electric bike rack. This is gonna be a test fit. We're gonna see how it works on our 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. So the Swagman Current is pretty popular, because of its weight capacity as well as how you can carry your heavier bikes with this while still maintaining a simple design. Depending on which Current you get you can also upgrade the older versions to the newer cradles if you want to use the add-on ramp and bridge that Swagman offers if you have heavy electric bikes. Fortunately for the Trailblazer though, because of where the hitch is, you might not need that ramp and bridge. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination E, two bike platform rack for your heavy electric bikes. We'll take a look at how it fits our 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The Destination E is really designed for those electric bikes. It have an included ramp, which makes it easier to ramp the bikes up and onto your hitch receiver. Now with the Trailblazer, since the hitch receiver isn't that high up off the ground, that actually makes it easier for the ramp, since you have a shallower angle, just make sure if you have that two-inch hitch receiver to support that extra weight, since you have a weight capacity of 70 pounds per bike. Now, one feature that is pretty unique as well to this rack is the Tilt-Away feature. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at the RockyMounts AfterParty two bike swing away platform rack and how it fits on this 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. So the AfterParty is really useful if you want to get a lot more clearance behind your vehicle. It is a bike rack but it also swings away. It's very similar to the RockyMounts GuideRail bike rack. So definitely check that video out if you want a full look at its features. We're gonna focus on the Equinox today though. more

This is going to be a platform style bike rack and it's one of our more premium options. Definitely one of my personal favorites just because the NV is very sleek, very stylish. It works with a wide range of bikes and it's gonna be very easy to use. We'll talk on that all throughout the video here, but right out of the gate I do wanna talk about how it holds the bike. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
Hi, everyone. Aiden here with "etrailer." Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination Two Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Chevrolet Equinox. Now this is going to be a very entry level option for a platform style bike rack. Platform style meaning it holds a bike in these trays and this one is going to have two straps down at the bottom that pull the bike down and in as well as a frame cradle that slides up and down, can be rotated around and has a strap that runs around the bike to hold it in place on this pad. Now that means a couple things. Frame contact means we want to avoid carbon frame bikes but with the way that cradle and pad can be manipulated, moved around and rotated, it does work really well for alternative frame bikes. more

CURT Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the CURT premium hanging style bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Chevrolet Equinox. So this is a hanging style bike rack which means the bike is hanging by the frame up here. It's sitting down into our cradles and held in place with these two rubber straps stretched over the frame with a third one around the seat post here, helping to control our side-to-side movement. It doesn't completely eliminate it but it does help quite a bit. And with this you can hold up to four bikes. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Chevrolet Suburban- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at how the Inno Tire Hold two bike platform rack fits on a 2023 Chevrolet Suburban. So you have a larger vehicle and you may wanna get some larger bikes onto your rack. You might want something that's easier to load the bikes up onto, but doesn't take up as much space. That's where the Inno Tire Hold might come in handy. It has some fun features here like the dual wheel mount design and the extra weight capacity but there are some downsides too. So we're gonna focus on that in this video. more

Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video

It holds the bikes in these long trays and by the tires. We have two wheel hoops for that dual wheel mount design and it doesn't make any frame contact. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at the Swagman Current on the back of our 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. The Swagman Current is a platform style bike rack, it's gonna hold the bike in these wheel cradles, and primarily, by our frame. We've got a frame hook on the top and two wheel straps on the bottom for secondary points of contact. The frame hook is going to make frame contact, so that does mean avoiding our carbon frame bikes and picking up a bike adapter bar for any alternative frame bikes just so we have a solid attachment point. With this though, you do have a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, so it's gonna be good for some of our e-bikes. more

The Tire Hold is a platform style bike rack that holds the bike in these trays and by the tires. Now, that's gonna mean it has zero frame contacts, so it's gonna be good for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes, and it does have a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, so it is gonna be good for some of our smaller e-bikes too. Like many other platform racks this does have the ability to tilt away with bikes loaded. You've gotta handle at the back end that you can give a squeeze to lower it down. more

That's gonna allow it to be used for carbon frame bikes like you see here, alternative frame bikes, and with a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, it can handle some e-bikes too. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro on our 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. Now the Hitching Post Pro is a hanging style bike rack. It's gonna hold the bike up here by the frame with the rest of it hanging down from there. We've got two straps over top holding it down in these deep cradles with a third strap around the seat post to limit our side to side movement. That's gonna help bike to bike contact as well as preventing this from running into the car. more
